Abley parking design gets UC Waimairi Village approval

Abley were commissioned by the University of Canterbury (UC) to design the parking spaces that will service the Waimairi Village complex that has recently been built. UC Waimairi Village is part of the university’s response to relieve pressure on the rental accommodation market in Christchurch by having housing available to its students. Resource consent was recently issued to allow the construction to be completed. The traffic advice and design work was completed by Tracy Fleming .

Terrace Downs just the tonic for Abley crew

The team at Abley Transportation Consultants spent a relaxing afternoon at Terrace Downs where they participated in a ‘mini Olympics’ comprising of clay pigeon shooting, archery and golf chipping against a magnificent Southern Alps backdrop. Staff completed these activities with varying degrees of success, but one thing everyone agreed on, it was an afternoon of great fun. The day was topped off with a few beers and wines on the terrace and a delicious meal.

Abley contributing to reducing drive stress

Keeping up to date with what’s happening on Christchurch Central City roads has just become a little easier. This is thanks to work undertaken by Abley Transportation Consultants who provided large basemap outputs of varying scale for Canterbury Transport Operation Centre (CTOC). CTOC commissioned Abley to provide these maps as part of their initiative to provide Canterbury road users with more information to assist them to plan their journeys, minimise delays and reduce frustration on the roads.
