ITS World Congress 2016

Dave Smith and Dale Harris have had their abstract accepted to present at the ITS World Congress 2016 held in Melbourne later this year. The findings of their research, commissioned by NZ Transport Agency investigates the role of crowdsourcing in New Zealand as a source of real-time traveller information for supporting transport network efficiency. The research provides practical recommendations regarding crowdsourcing applications in the transport sector. It also outlines the role of the NZ Transport Agency and other road controlling authorities in supporting crowdsourcing initiatives and the technical requirements regarding the appropriate use of crowdsourced data in traveller information systems. We congratulate Dale and Dave for this achievement.

Dale wins the 2015 Asia Pacific Spatial Excellence Awards for Technical Excellence
