Abley’s Steve Abley, Dave Smith and Stacy Rendall have developed the Australasian Pedestrian Facility Selection Tool for Austroads. The tool has been designed to help Australian and New Zealand practitioners select the most appropriate type of pedestrian crossing based on walkability, safety and economic outcomes.
The online tool assesses the viability of different types of pedestrian crossing facilities according to the physical and operational parameters of a site and its safety performance.
A webinar introducing the tool, describing its use and outputs, is being held on Tuesday 10 March 2015 from 1.00 – 2.00pm AEDST. If you would like to register for the webinar, visit Austroads
