Started in 1996 the company has provided consulting engineering services for over 10 years.

In 1999 Steve Abley departed New Zealand for the United Kingdom and on his return in 2003 the company traded as Steve Abley - Transportation Engineering. The addition of more staff prompted a name change and the company changed its name to Abley Transportation Engineers Limited on 1 October 2007.

The company has grown to a size that it now employs seven full time and a number of part time staff.  Our firm is located in Christchurch New Zealand, the gateway to the South Island, and our reputation is based on exceptionally high quality deliverables and high level thinking.

We are at the forefront of transportation planning in New Zealand.
