Vanessa is an experienced administrator with strong organisational and time management skills. Vanessa was previously employed in the market research sector in South Africa, the UK and New Zealand where she was involved in the set up and organisation of market research projects which included data analysis and reporting.
What made you decide to become an office administrator?
I enjoyed the organisational aspects of my previous role and this lead me towards a role in office administration.
What did you do before joining Abley?
I was a research associate in the market research industry and prior to that I worked as a financial administrator.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I enjoy the variety of the job and ensuring the office runs smoothly and efficiently. I am a very social person so of course the interaction I have with my work colleagues is very important to me. There is a lovely team environment here at Abley.
What is the most challenging thing about your job?
Juggling multiple tasks and keeping on top of everything.
What has been your career highlight so far?
I always work to the best of my ability and enjoy forming good relationships with fellow colleagues and clients alike. I enjoy seeing a project through to completion and having a sense of satisfaction that things have gone well.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I love reading and going to see interesting movies. Now that the kids are older I would like to get back into tramping and exploring New Zealand’s wonderful mountain scenery. I would also love to travel again, something I did a lot of before having children.
