On 12th September, Abley were proud to be announced winners of the "Sustainable Journeys Award" at the Australasia Fleet Safety Awards 2019, for our travel planning programme called "TravelWhiz".
Sponsored by the NZ Transport Agency, these awards recognise the achievements of those working to help reduce the number of road crashes involving at-work drivers.
These annual awards are run by Brake, a national road safety charity that works to prevent road deaths and injuries and support people bereaved and injured in crashes across New Zealand.
The award category "Sustainable Journeys" specifically recognises organisations that have done the most to reduce risk and fuel emissions by introducing sustainable travel and journey routing choices, such as encouraging cycling, walking and public transport use as alternatives to driving, using more environmentally-friendly fuels and vehicles, and/or reducing transport needs.
TravelWhiz is designed to help organisations encourage healthy, safe and sustainable travel, and makes it easy to develop personalised journey plans and manage on-site parking for businesses.
