Courtney returns to Abley

Courtney Groundwater has returned to Abley after time working in Colombia and the UK. In the UK Courtney was working in a Transport Strategy and Economics team, managing and contributing to the development of business cases across a range of transport infrastructure including light rail, road safety and the pedestrianisation of Oxford Street in London. Courtney is excited to return to her roots at Abley, bring an extended set of skills and fresh international perspective to the New Zealand transport sector.

Red light running rampant in Christchurch

Abley was approached recently to comment on the results of a Christchurch Transport Operations Centre (CTOC) survey of 15 city intersections, which found red lights were ignored 8170 times in just 24 hours, or 340 times per hour.
