The Auckland office spent an exhilarating Saturday white water rafting at the Vector Wero Whitewater Park a couple of weeks ago. Wero in Maori means “challenge” which we faced along with loads of excitement and fun.

Most opted for the “Extreme” option which included a heart stopping plummet over a 4.5m waterfall (the highest man-made waterfall in the world), not once but twice. Whereas I opted for the more pleasant, sedate option, “River Rush combo” which included flat water kayaking or stand up paddle boarding. For rafting, we were split into three different rafts with different instructors. Almost everyone fell out at some point and and Jo, Shendi and Colin flipped their raft after going through the waterfall – but it was all in good fun! It was amusing to the see our expressions in the video that was taken to record the experience.

Thanks to Colin for organising and SNC for sponsoring the event. White water rafting is a must do and we loved it.
