The current Government Policy Statement sets a clear direction in terms of creating a transport system that supports more walking and cycling. Data gaps and a lack of consistent monitoring and reporting for walking and cycling create challenges for tracking progress and informing decision-making.

On Tuesday 13 August, Courtney Groundwater is co-presenting a webinar with John Lieswyn from Viastrada, Bridget Burdett from MRCagney and a representative from NZ Transport Agency.  The webinar will explore monitoring active modes of transport and is the first of what is likely to be a series of webinars in the active modes space.

The webinar will cover:

  • Measuring Walking (including consideration of inclusive access)
  • Cycle monitoring (how to design a monitoring plan)
  • Monitoring technology

The webinar is on Tuesday 13 August, 10am – 11:30. You can register here, it’s free!
