What Harsh has to say:

What made you decide to become a Digital Engineering Technician?

Seeing amazing innovations and changes take place within the Digital World from when I was a little kid to today is just amazing. And now, after passing many hurdles, finally getting an opportunity to actually do things myself is a proud moment for me and my Dad. I also wanted a career that offered me endless opportunities to challenge myself.

What did you do before joining Abley?

Before joining Abley, I worked as a 3 Waters Engineering technician for City Care/Christchurch City Council. I graduated from Ara Institute of Canterbury in 2016 and, from then to now, I have learned a lot of things, not only limited to Engineering, but also about Hospitality and event organising.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

I feel very enthusiastic and spirited while working at Abley. The environment itself provides a very systematic and organised approach to everything from technical leadership to business environment and efficient client interaction. The supportive and motivating people around here provides us with exuberant opportunities and challenges which help us in realizing our potential and working with full commitment and determination in achieving the company goals.

What is the most challenging thing about your job?

The most rigorous of all the challenges is the challenge of identifying your inner potentials and harnessing them in the best possible and healthy direction. Integration of data is yet another challenging task, as it allows both intensive (within organisation) and extensive (outside organisation) interaction. Last but not the least, would be about me working for a diverse variety of teams in the company. This is an amazing opportunity given to me by Abley to learn amazing techniques and to work not only within just one field but other fields as well.

What has been your career highlight so far?

I feel very satisfied and content by being a part of the team that engages in most effective planning and efficient implementation strategies. While working for different organisations ranging from hospitality to Event organisation to Engineering, I have loved everything I have achieved so far.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

I am very much into extra curriculum activities. I love travelling and exploring new places; once a year I try to plan a vacation with my friends and family. I help organise multicultural events in the city, like the Festival of Colour Christchurch and Bollywood fusion parties, which I believe bring together people from different communities. I love Dancing, acting cooking and, of course, playing cricket.
