About the role

The Project & Delivery Manager (PDM) is a commercial customer facing role that has overall responsibility for the commercial and financial delivery of projects to our clients.  This includes both managing projects and leading the software development team, which incorporates accountabilities in four main areas, namely:

  1. Team Management – manage and lead the development of a team of software developers. through supporting team engagement and high performance.
  2. Project Development and Delivery – responsible for the planning, scoping and scheduling of activities to complete jobs to a high standard, whilst ensuring innovation, speed of delivery within the budgeted scope of the project.
  3. Business Development – Identify and pursue opportunities to sell our services to new and existing clients. Ensure the business plan for the business area (software development) is implemented.  The business plan aligns with the strategic objectives of our business, so an understanding of strategy and implementation of strategy is important.
  4. Client Relationship Management – build and maintain trusted client relationships by ensuring we provide quality solutions to our clients.

About you

The successful candidate for this role, will have the following skills and attributes:

You will probably have the following knowledge:

A degree, postgraduate or masters’ qualification in that support software development.

Your location:

While we have offices located in Auckland or Christchurch, this role is based in Christchurch.  Please note you must have the right to work in New Zealand to be considered for this role, so already have a work visa, permanent residency or be a New Zealand citizen.
